I love when summer starts creeping in, it's not hot enough yet that you'd rather be in AC, but it's not too cool either. Not to mention the sunsets. I'm glad to spend another summer in SLC, possibly the last so lets make the best of it!!

Summer Among Us

Mammoth Road Trip
The end of winter is among us and its time to take a trip. I drove with two lovely ladies to Mammoth California to meet a with even more ladies. The drive was quite exciting having a pit stop in the middle of nowhere for a beer during the rise of the blood moon. Ms. Superpark is my most favourite time of the year. It is the time when Snowboarder Mag puts on the event to bring some of the best female boarders together in one perfectly built park. I always have so much fun because I'm around friends as if it were a contest, only theres no pressure. This year I took the role of a rider and photographer and got one of my best shots.

More from Canada
In light of the Olympics on their way, I thought I would get into the spirit and get some Canada gear. It turned out to be a perfect day to take some pictures of my new mitts when it was dumping snow. Besides the flight delays the next day, it was so amazing seeing that much snow fall in such a short period of time.
Before the huge snow fall, everything was covered in ice. Although it was knocking over trees it was very pretty and I couldn't stop taking pictures. Hopefully the City of Toronto has recovered from this ice storm.

It's beginning to look like Christmas!
It's finally snowing here in SLC and in thr mountains. I couldn't be more excited! When the ground is covered by a thick white blanket I can't stop taking pictures and dressing up in my warmest clothes. The trees are covered in Xmas decorations and not to mention snowboard season is in full swing.

Film
Over the past few months I have been taking photos with my film cameras rather than my digital. I bought the cameras on eBay for under $30 and they are so much fun. Nothing has been developed yet so I'm not even sure if they work or not but I'm excited to see the results.

Weekend Surf Trip
After almost a month of no rain in Salt Lake, I couldn't handle the heat anymore. My roommate Corinne and I decided last minute to drive to the beach. A 9 hour drive got us to SoCal where although it doesn't rain there either, it is only 75 degrees rather than 100. It was Corinne's first time so we visited the Roxy HQ, Transworld and anything else I felt she needed to see. Visiting friends, surfing and eating tacos were the highlights. I could have done without the bad sunburn on my backside and the stab wound from a stingray, which was quiet possibly the worst feeling I have ever felt. The antibiotics I'm taking for my traumatic experience are keeping me indoors, so here are a few pictures from our days in Cali.

Missing Cali
It hasn't even been a year yet but I'm missing so many things from my Cali life. Surfing, Ocean, Roxy, Surfing. I'm spending my summer in Salt Lake City to go to school, Laguna beach is only about 10 hours away. I Can't wait to go back!

Ms. Superpark 2013
My favourite event of the year, Snowboarder Mag's Ms Superpark, held at Keystone Resort, CO. All the girls get together to get photos and video, and just have fun. I like this event so much because there's no pressure and I get to practice taking photos as well as hitting some of the best features all year. Here are some of my photos:
