Costa Rica 10.03.201

This was kind of a last minute decision, but I'm leaving Friday for Costa Rica. One week of surfing, rain forests, volcanoes, wildlife and exploring! I couldn't be more excited! It's my dream to travel the world and my goal to go to 50 countries before I turn 50. So this will be # 9, which I realize isn't much but for the most part I've done many road trips across Canada and USA. Regardless, I will be taking a million photos and possibly come back with a tan :)

Home for the Holidays!

The SLC smog is killing me (literally I'm pretty sure) so it gave me the final push to go home for Xmas. I'm excited to be with friends and family, moms new dog Molly, my kitty Moka and to sleep in my own bed again. So Merry Christmas, or Miley Christmas, if you're into that ;).

Our small tree :)

I made this Miley for my friend Chelsea

It's beginning to look like Christmas!

It's finally snowing here in SLC and in thr mountains. I couldn't be more excited! When the ground is covered by a thick white blanket I can't stop taking pictures and dressing up in my warmest clothes. The trees are covered in Xmas decorations and not to mention snowboard season is in full swing.

Disneyland with Dad

I love Disney movies so this was a huge treat, especially since I got to go with my Dad. The best ride there was the Cars ride, where your taken through the town and garage as seen in the movie "Cars" and after seeing all of the characters you race the car beside you. This was the longest line all day, but completely worth the 45 minute wait.
I also enjoyed the Little Mermaid ride and the Hollywood Tower that was the Twilight Zone broken elevator experience. Such a good day, only thing I wish we got to go in both parks :P

Photos all taken with my GoPro (except the first)

San Clemente weekend

Ok so new favorite town. San Clemente is located south of Orange County and the thing I liked most is that it still holds its small surf town vibe. No cities nearby. Jordie and I got to stay in a beautiful apartment right on the beach so the sunsets were amazing and just looking out the window in the morning was so motivating to go for a run or go surfing. I finally bought my first surfboard too so I was extra stoked to be here.

Last day in Canada

I'm currently on my drive to LA but I wanted to post these photos of my camping trip with friends. We stayed up at Sibbald Point National Park on Lake Simcoe. The lake was beautiful and I had a lot of fun by the campfire, cookin wieners.

Canada day

Six days ago was Canada's birthday! I'm only posting this now because I haven't had a moment to load the pictures. But here is day and night of the beautiful celebration.

Canada day weekend

I'm looking forward to this long weekend mostly because I don't have to study for any exams, but also because it's almost Canada day! I love fireworks, and I love when I get to be with friends to watch them. Hopefully this year I get away from work early enough to actually catch the show. Until then, I'm still just playing with my camera, learning a few things about timers and aperture.

I'm wearing a dress from Abercrombie, jacket from Zara and hat from H&M

New Years in Aspen

I finally loaded my pictures from New Years! A couple friends and I had some wine and some Champaign while getting ready to head to the bar. We danced at the bar for the most part and I constantly walked around collecting balloons and party toys from all over the building. As a result of the night, these iphone photos became my favourite from the day/night.

Christmas in Aspen

After driving half way across the country, I ended up in Aspen Colorado with one of my best friends. The high rockies are really lacking in the white stuff. Snow stuff aside, i'm really digging the christmas lights and decorations here, so we got into the holiday spirit and spent the day making xmas treats.
